Elton use to be the tea boy at Dick James offices in the sixties making cuppas for the stable writers such as Roger Cook, Roger Greenaway and Tony Hiller. Elton use to keep bringing in song ideas to Roger Cook and one occasion Elton hit the jackpot! Roger Cook loved Skyline Pigeon and published the song under COOKAWAY music.

The performance is from the 1976 Edinburgh solo concert. There are other clips of the Skyline Pigeon performance out there. I don't know what documentary it got reused in, but search YT for 'KaptainfantastiK' and 'pigeon.'
